The Double C Dance Studio has operated in Tucson since 1954, making it the
longest operating studio in Tucson. Wendy Cameron Hursh is the owner and
director and has been teaching dancing for over 30 years. She has studied
extensively in Chicago, New York, and Dallas and has a Masters Degree in Dance
Education for children. Wendy is also a graduate of the University of Arizona
with a B.F.A. in Fine Arts Education. Studies are continued to keep up with
new dance trends and styles.
After having a large studio with over 300 students for many years she decided to reduce the size to approximately 100 students, keep classes small and have a more personal involvement with her students. The studio offers instruction in all types of dancing for all ages and abilities, however, the emphasis is on children aged 3-17 years old. Our courses include: Special Preschool Classes, Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Acrobatic. |

Tuition
Tuition is by the month and payable in advance. There is a $5.00 discount for family rate. A $25.00 registration fee is required with your registration form and the first months tuition is due to hold your child's spot in a specific class. For more information, please contact us. Students are to wear black leotards, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, white jazz shoes, with their hair pulled back off their face and neck. Keep elastic bands in their dance bags please! Boys are to wear black shorts, white t-shirts and black ballet or jazz shoes. The studio has an observation window. Please do not stand against the observation window. Be aware of your younger observers and do not allow them to knock on the glass. There is additional parking behind the building. Please use this area also. It is important to stay out of the neighbors driveway and to observe 5 MPH in the drive. Please yield to incoming traffic, and back up if you meet a car coming in toward the studio. The students perform twice a year. At Christmas the studio has a picnic where the students dance after they eat lunch and socialize with their studio friends. The second time is the annual recital in the spring. This is held at the Tucson Convention Center and is a wonderful way for the students to show the progress they have made during the year and to learn performance techniques. |
